I had the delight of speaking to the congregation about Lois Cole this morning at the UU Fellowship Lois attended. Two of her friends, Diane and Chris, with me, spoke of her importance to us and the Fellowship. Lois and I worked together in our own self-generated committee to “Pay off the Mortgage” of our Fellowship. We were able to gather $114,000 to do this. We had a burn the mortgage party and I had created a wooden plaque noting this event. It now hangs in the entrance of the Fellowship.
Lois was also special to me as my first girl friend after my divorce. I heard about you and your family as well as being part of her family in this area. We celebrated New Years together in 2010 at Sun Mountain Resort. The year 2011 continues as a joy in life with Lois being part of my life. I have called her several times since her move to California. I missed the pleasure of a visit. She described a fun life by the sea side with her family.
